Septicemia Disease, Almost any type of gum can cause septicemia but bacteria is the most common cause of Septicemia. Septicemia is defined as the Presence and multiplication of micro-organisms in blood like bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Septicemia is a life-threatening condition if left untreated the number of organisms is very high in septicemia. In septicemia, toxins may be produced by the micro-organism. Infection by micro-organisms in the urinary tract abdominal or chest. If Left untreated it can lead to septicemia. Septicemia is also termed blood Poisoning. Staphylococcus is found in 50% of septicemia cases and other bacteria that can cause septicemia are:

  • Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas,
  • Klebsiella, streptococcus pyogenes, and candida.

Physical Examination:

  1. Blood culture
  2. Viral Infections test like influenza
  3. Fungal Tests

Treatment of septicemia:

  • Use Antibiotics (if the infection is due to bacteria)
  • Antivirals (if the infection is caused by a virus)
  • Antifungal (if the infection is caused by a fungus)
